We love hearing from our students no matter what they have to say, but when we hear of a student being published, we just want to shout it from the rooftops! We’re a little scared of heights, so we’ll go with a blog post instead.
Michael says:
I had a short story published in the Stringybark anthology Behind the Wattles in 2012. The competition asked for a short story of not more than 1000 words, on any topic. The story was actually Creative Writing 1 assignment and Cathie’s positive feedback encouraged me to submit it.
I appreciate this is a small-ish success in the publishing world, but I think Stringybark it is really achievable for budding writers to get published for the first time.
