We love hearing from our students no matter what they have to say, but when we hear of a student being published, we just want to shout it from the rooftops! We’re a little scared of heights, so we’ll go with a blog post instead.
Tania says:
I originally sent a pitch to Essential Kids that they told me to repitch in a few months time. I took that to mean they were interested so I wrote the entire article and sent it off when they asked and they said no! A friend of mine suggested the idea could be tweaked for a different magazine so I pitched it at Caravan World and sent it to Valerie Khoo for the help she offered all graduates. She liked the idea and made some alterations which I adjusted and emailed off. The pitch was accepted so I quickly wrote the article and sent it to Valerie again for help. She advised me to make some moderations, which I did, and the article was published last week!!
I couldn’t have done it without Valerie’s help. She was instrumental in giving me the confidence to believe I could do it and I did.
Congratulations Tania!
