"I got published!": Sarah Barr

We love hearing from our students no matter what they have to say, but when we hear of a student being published, we just want to shout it from the rooftops! We’re a little scared of heights, so we’ll go with a blog post instead.

Sarah says:

My favourite part of this published piece is my pitch…I wrote it at 2.30am while awake (again) with my jet lagged baby. When I woke at a more permissible time, I couldn’t believe that I’d pitched in a sleep deprived state. I feared re-reading the email as I worried that I’d missed an opportunity with a sub-standard pitch. But luckily the Essential Baby editors liked it and commissioned my idea!

Firstly, I wouldn’t have known how to pitch if it wasn’t for the course I completed.

Secondly, I wouldn’t have been so aware of Essential Baby had it not been for the Facebook graduates group.

Thirdly, I took advantage of Valerie’s Kick-anuary offer and she read the article before I sent it away and gave me some really useful feedback.

Congratulations Sarah! Wanna read what she wrote? Read the article here!
