We had so many reports of graduate success this week, we thought we’d better do a bumper edition!
Michelle Stacpoole was “slightly excited” (read: thrilled!) to see her first article published on The Drum, and Stacey Gladman‘s article on Australia becoming a “nanny state” debuted on Essential Kids.
Catherine Rodie was a commissioned-article-machine in June (with a total of 21 we believe!), including an article on the dangers of US-style kids beauty pageants. Speaking of which, another Magazine and Newspaper Writing graduate, Lisa Almond, explored beauty standards recently on Essential Kids, as well as lamenting her wedding planning mania on iVillage.
Krys Saclier‘s motherhood piece appeared in the Canberra Times, and still in the Capital, Sally Paterson was the guest of a luxury hotel to write a travel piece for SMH Traveller!
Susan Murphy gets an F for her piece in Sunday Life/Daily Life, while Victoria Birch swore her way into Good Weekend‘s pages with her distinctly personal and humorous piece!
Louise Wedgewood tackled sexism on SBS.com.au, Emily McAuliffe featured in Jetstar magazine’s ‘postcode’ section, San Ph self-published her book “Everything to Lose” (as Sandra Moore) on Amazon, and Rob Grant graced the Renegade Collective‘s pages this month with his piece on a Chinese collaboration lighting up the art world.
High-fives all round!
Phew! Don’t forget to let us know of your graduate success story via this handy form.
You never know, we may have to adjust our schedule to twice-weekly at this rate!
