Patti Miller is the author of the bestselling Writing Your Life, the most popular text for life writing in Australia, as well as The Last One Who Remembers, Child, Whatever the Gods Do, The Memoir Book, Ransacking Paris, the award-winning The Mind of a Thief and Writing True Stories, the key text for the Paris memoir workshops. Her latest book, released March 2022 is True Friends.

Many of her personal essays and articles have been published in literary magazines, Good Weekend and other national publications. She holds a B.A. and M.A. in writing from UTS and has 30 years teaching experience in universities and writers’ centres around Australia, including the Australian Writers’ Centre. She has been teaching memoir writing in Paris for 16 years. Sixty of her former students have been commercially published.
